Video Marketing Made Easy With Tube Mogul

December 17th, 2007 Posted in Cool Tools

Internet Marketing Toronto AKA Christopher KataWe’ve recently begun using a service called Tube Mogul to submit our videos to several on-line video sharing sites.

TubeMogul.com is a service which automates the submission of you video to multiple video sharing sites. What makes the service great is that you only have to configure and upload your video once - to the TubeMogul site. TubeMogul then takes over and distributes your video for you to the other video sites. More importantly, TubeMogul gives you statistics about your video in one interface covering all of the sites you submitted your video to.

At the time we’re writing this TubeMogul works with the following sites. It’s our understanding that they are constantly working toward adding additional sites to the service.

  • YouTube
  • Yahoo!
  • MySpace
  • MetaCafe
  • Google
  • Revver
  • DailyMotion
  • Blip
  • Brightcove
  • Veoh
  • Crackle
  • Stupidvideos

If you’re doing some video marketing you should seriously consider trying this service out. It will save you  considerable time, and bring together in one report the statistics you need to measure your progress!

Well this one looks a real gem. (Heard it hear first!) One thing I didn’t see in their FAQ: I wonder if it’s possible to customize the way the the video appears in the SERPS, as to cast out a wider net for search traffic. I.e, different keyword titles for each individual sites…

    What, no vimeo?

  4. adcentiveswest Says:

That’s a great find and share. I have been using a paid membership online service for submitting videos. This seems like a free service. Will surely give a try.

  5. ckata Says:

Hey Megan - you can’t customize the tags for each site as part of the upload. However, once your files are uploaded you can go into each site and edit the video settings there. While it would be nice to edit the settings in TubeMogul I find it’s enough that it does the upload for you and doing some manual editing afterwards is not too bad.

Really amazing idea…what a useful service/site. Next time I’m doing vid marketing I’ll be sure to check them out.

  7. ckata Says:

    Hey Matt,
Yeah - the UI is quite nice. You upload your video once, then edit the title, description and tags. Enter your username and pass for each site to upload to - and bingo bongo, it’s uploaded on them all.

You can then go into each of the sites and further tune the options for the video.

  8. Murali Says:

A very useful service. We have done outsourcing of video upload, some times in the past. Now it seems we could manage it on our own.

  9. ckata Says:

    Hi Murali,
You’re absolutely right. This makes it a little easier to do it yourself now! I can only hope they continue adding additional video sites to the service.

  10. BizDevMarketing Says:

ckata ~ thanks for the response. Yes, I agree that the bulk upload capability is a winner regardless of custom tags. I’d be more than happy to go in and edit these for such a time saver. I’d guess its a good idea to do so, too.

Hey Joliber - glad you like it! It’s saving us alot of time!

  13. Andy Says:

TubeMogul sounds great. I just hope it doesn’t get disallowed or condemned by the search engines like mass article submissions do. But its a great service, i use it and its working well for me.

  14. ckata Says:

Hey Andy - I agree! What mass article submissions services are you aware of? I’d like to discuss them on the blog!

  15. Andy Says:

Hey ckata. What i mean is, like how Search engines penalise smaller sites that gain more than 30 links a day. Im worried that TubeMogul might soon be classified like this. Just a theory of myn.

Hope i haven’t confused you. But for now TubeMogul is working well for me so i can’t really complain.

  16. ckata Says:

Hey Andy - I completely agree. Thanks for clarifying. That would not be good if it were happen. TubeMogul is working out well for us!

  17. Paranormal Enthusiast Says:

Haven’t really tried video marketing but i believe this article is really encouraging. Planning to produce a series of internet marketing videos and submit them.

  21. ckata Says:

I encourage you to do so! As with everything - the more you practice it the better you will get. Most importantly track the metrics as it’s the only way to know if you’re having an effect!

  22. Wellness Nordsee Says:

Video marketing is really working. I can only say to everyone who is in a niche where video marketing is possible, do try it out. Social media is getting more and more important, so use it for your business :)
