Many people have been predicting the the Glory Days for Google can't last forever. At one time they were attracting all of the great IT staff around and perks were great. But slowly the "shine" is wearing off and it's not so exciting (still very exciting) but not as much as it used to be. If they really are reaching a "peak" or trending toward a peak, then perhaps now is a good time for a new engine to make it's mark!

Who knows?!

I agree with Court. Any competition is good. However, I would hate to try to take on Google.

Pretty cuill! Hopefully they actually come up with something worthwhile. It's too bad that Google is so far ahead, they're quickly becoming a monopoly.
