I signed up a while ago and the calls have cut back. The annoying part for me is someone used my cell number and filled out online forms - which they look at as consent to call me. Whilst it does seem to slow the torrent of calls, it doesn't stop local businesses outsourcing their telemarketing to our Sub-Continental friends. So now you'll not only still get telemarketing calls, they'll be calls in foreign accents over rubbish VoIP lines, meaning you won't have any idea what they're talking about anyway! We’ve had the Do Not Call list here in Australia for a couple of years.

Whilst it does seem to slow the torrent of calls, it doesn’t stop local businesses outsourcing their telemarketing to our Sub-Continental friends.

So now you’ll not only still get telemarketing calls, they’ll be calls in foreign accents over rubbish VoIP lines, meaning you won’t have any idea what they’re talking about anyway!
